Spring is well and truly on its way in the Southern Hemisphere with the cold, wintery weather making way for the warmer, brighter seasons. It’s also that time of year when we turn towards our homes for a bit of spring cleaning - but where to begin? We’ve compiled the ultimate cleaning checklist to help you on your 2024 spring cleaning journey. Let’s begin!
1. General to-dos
It’s easiest to start with some general items to tick off your checklist, just to get the ball rolling. Completing tasks like sanitising light switches and door/cupboard handles, checking and replacing fire alarms, and cleaning down walls and baseboards are a great place to start. Downsizing is also a key component of spring cleaning, so make sure you donate or throw away any items or clutter you no longer need.
2. Check-off in the kitchen
Preparing meals in a clean kitchen is such a refreshing feeling. Revitalise your kitchen by cleaning countertops, stoves, ovens, and inside microwaves, as well as removing and disposing of any old food in your fridge or pantry.
